In 2012, our company concluded an Agreement with A2 HOTELCONCEPT DOO Vienna for the development of a Construction Design (static and dynamic analyzes of the structure) for the SUSPENSION BRIDGE IN THE CENTRAL CITY AREA OF SKOPJE – MAL RING, which is located between the Stone bridge and the Goce Delchev bridge, and it connects the “Dimitar Vlahov” promenade from the left bank of the Vardar River and the “13 Noemvri” promenade from the right bank, intended for pedestrian traffic. The bridge is designed as straight (placed perpendicular to the bed of the river Vardar). The total length of the bridge is 93.00 m and the width is 15.00 m, with approaches to the minor riverbed from the left and right banks of the Vardar River.
By the way, this bridge is the first of its kind in Macedonia, and its design and construction are a rarity and a challenge for every engineer who wants to learn something more about the new technologies of building structures. The construction solution of the bridge is distinguished by the fact that three types of construction systems are applied with three methods of execution: reinforced concrete construction consisting of columns, beams and slabs with a monolithic construction, coupled steel-concrete bridge construction with a semi-assembled construction, this includes the construction of reinforced concrete slab on site and the performance of the bridge beam steel structure with prefabricated installation, as well as the third type of structural system – suspended construction, consisting of main bearing cables and hangers with prefabricated installation. In 2017, at the request of the investor JSP Skopje, an amendment was made to the design documentation, where our engineers made the necessary corrections in order to fit the structure into the new architectural concept.
